Opportunity: Topic Coordinator – Frontiers Emerging Talent Series (Special Edition: Circular Economy)
Frontiers is recruiting early career researchers to serve as Topic Coordinators for a special edition of its Emerging Talent Series, titled "Emerging Scholars in Circular Economy: Next Generation Research for a Sustainable World." This special edition is guest edited by Nikos Kalogeras (Zuyd University) and Konstantinos Tsagarakis (Technical University of Crete).
The Frontiers Emerging Talent Series is a peer-reviewed publication series that prioritizes manuscripts where the first author is a master's or PhD student — making it a uniquely early-career-centered initiative. What makes this opportunity distinctive is that the editorial roles are equally open to early career researchers. As a Topic Coordinator, you will gain firsthand experience in the academic editorial process — including managing submissions, coordinating peer review, and supporting guest editors — skills that are invaluable for your development as a scholar.
We are looking for PhD students who are passionate about circular economy research and interested in stepping into an editorial role. This is a rare opportunity to build editorial experience, expand your professional network, and contribute to shaping a publication designed by and for the next generation of researchers.
Interested candidates can contact ktsagarakis@tuc.gr with a short CV and motivation.
